Finding love in your library this Valentine\'s Day 1 Feb 07

Love Libraries top ideas for making your day special

Calling all you romantics out there! If you’re looking for ideas of how to spend this special day, then why not pay a visit to your local library! From author and poetry events to speed-dating with a difference, you will be surprised to find out about the variety of special activities on offer.

You can also use your local library to discover a world of romantic classics, including novels and poetry books. Or you could borrow a CD of love songs, or choose from a selection of romantic comedy DVD’s. If you’re unsure what to choose, then don’t forget to ask your librarian for advice or even ask them to recommend their favourite books or films.

Libraries are also a great way of finding out information about what’s happening in your local area. If you are hoping to impress that special someone, then take a look at the community notice-board to see if any of your favourite restaurants are offering special deals. Or if you’re planning a trip to somewhere further away from home, then you could consult the travel guide section and read about romantic destinations, such as Paris, Venice or Verona. If you can’t find what you’re looking for then do ask one of the librarians for help.
