Love Libraries has announced the three marketing specialists that will be supporting the libraries in marketing their transformations.
Love Libraries, has announced the three marketing specialists that will be supporting the libraries in marketing their transformations.
They are Noel Murphy, Marketing Director at Faber & Faber, Melanie Bloxham Group Marketing Director for Pan Macmillan and Kate Elliott, Campaign Manager at Harper Collins.
Each of the three transformation libraries has been assigned its own marketing mentor to help with enhancing the library experience and maximising its integration within the local community. The experts will advise on improving general marketing strategy, the most effective use of marketing materials and mentor the libraries on how to market to and retain new audiences. They will also be key in facilitating relationships with local retailers and exploring local partnerships.
Noel Murphy, Marketing Director at Faber, has spent 15 years working in the book trade. Starting his career in 1991 at Waterstones in Stratford on Avon, Noel joined Faber in 2002 becoming Marketing Director in 2003. Melanie Bloxham has worked in publishing and the arts for 12 years, most recently at the Royal Shakespeare Company working on marketing strategy, and before that as Head of Fiction buying at Book Club Associates. She is now Group Marketing Director for Pan Macmillan and is responsible for all adult book marketing. Kate Elliott, Campaign Manager at Harper Collins, has over six years retail marketing experience and currently works across some of the leading brand names in popular fiction, from Freya North to Bernard Cornwell.
